transport logistic is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management which takes place every 2 years in Munich, Germany
Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a Coop member in Bremen, Hamburg and Frankfurt, Germany, is making preparations for their exhibition to be held at the transport logistic fair in Munich on 4th-7th June, 2019. “Besides marketing our brand, our focus will be on promoting our extensive know-how and experience of rail freight between China and Europe. The new Silk Road is a challenge to air and ocean carriers with additional rail routes being added on a regular basis,” says Thomas Manigk, Managing Director of Kopf & Lübben.
“The land route through central Asia offers a far shorter transit time compared to ocean freight and is substantially cheaper than air freight. Moreover, rail services cut carbon emissions substantially, which is an important aspect to many of our customers”, he adds.
The fair which is one of the leading logistics and supply chain
fairs in the world will welcome over 60,000 visitors from across 120 countries.
Mr. Manigk further continues, “transport logistic is an excellent platform to
network, deepen the existing relations and forge new relationships as well as
to catch up on key developments in the global logistics industry. Members of
the Coop family are invited to make contact with the Kopf + Lübben Cargo
Services team in hall B 3, stand no. 209/310.”

On 20 October 2018, Rinosta Shipping Agency, a Coop member in Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Riga (Latvia), delivered their 1500th wagon of Uzbek HDPE via their warehouse in the port of Riga!
As noted by Alexander Gordeev, the Managing Director of Rinosta: “Through careful process integration and a thought out approach, the project proved to be a tremendous success, bearing in mind the complex nature of such business and the specificities of the HDPE market.”
Usually, goods from Central Asia are delivered by rail to Rinosta’s warehouse in the Port of Riga, from where they are distributed and delivered across the EU and the rest of the world. This time the efficiency and commitment of Rinosta were put to the test with the HDPE Project, but the challenge was accomplished with flying colours.
“As unusual as it might sound, the remote areas of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are very easy to reach from the Baltic region of the EU,” adds Mr. Gordeev.
