Capital Shipping takes the first step of their strategic plan to digitize their services

This will position their company in a higher level of competition and will boost their brand awareness

Capital Shipping, a Coop member in Amman, Jordan, has embarked on a digital transformation by initiating a strategic plan to digitize their services in order to position them at a higher level that will enable them to offer upgraded services as well as improve their skills to meet the freight forwarder’s market needs. The first step of this plan is to provide their clients with a digital ability to compare rates from the main shipping lines within a couple of clicks.

“Digital transformation is the future of a successful business and providing digital tools to simplify operational activities is a must in a fast-changing world. Therefore, taking this approach does not only get our company and brand to the top levels of the competition but it will also enhance our image and will put us as a trustworthy logistic partner to be proud of”, states Khalid Al-Homaidi, Capital Shipping’s General Manager.

To do so, the first step of Capital Shipping’s plan has been the launch of a new pricing tool service for easy comparison of shipping line prices through their website portal. “This tool aims to allow our clients and partners view three different shipping line rates within a couple of clicks, making it easier to check the transportation cost of major carriers efficiently, with a clear comparison of transit time among carriers. This service will surely have a huge benefit of giving price indications for cargo movement planning and logistics decision making, which will reduce effort, work, and time to our clients”, states Ahmad Othman, Business Development Manager at Capital Shipping.

Additionally, as part of their marketing strategy, Capital Shipping is also planning to promote their wide range of logistics services which will highlight their professional level of service and will broaden the scope of their logistic services’ reach to more diverse clients.

We invite members to have a look at their new portal and the video they have put together to introduce this digital service!

Congratulations to Capital Shipping and wishing them the best for the future!

The Cooperative Logistics Network surpasses 300 members!

The Cooperative Logistics Network has set a new coverage record by adding its 300th agent. One major factor contributing to this growth is the fact that all members have had to pass a rigorous selection process, so only forwarders of the highest standards are part of the network.

The Cooperative Logistics Network surpasses 300 members!

“I am very excited about the sharp rise in the number of our members which is even more worthwhile bearing in mind the pandemic and the crumbling economy worldwide. As I see it, our key to success is the quality of the network, which wouldn’t be possible if we did not count with such reliable and qualified members. Since the very first moment, there has been a fantastic personal and professional relationship among them, which has surely contrinuted to their cooperation within the network. That is why I would like to thank all of them for their trust throughout these years, and even more in these difficult moments”, says Antonio Torres, the President and Founder of The Cooperative Logistics Network.

This increase had a role to play in the outstanding success of the Virtual Meeting of 2020 and the record attendance of The Coop’s Annual Meeting in 2019 where more than 180 freight forwarders met at Abu Dhabi. Additionally it undoubtedly demonstrates the efficiency, cooperation among partners, productiveness, and expediency of the network which has been operational for the last 5 years.

The Coop is also the first international freight forwarding network with global coverage to launch instant quoting ability for its members. FreightViewer – a member-exclusive transport management software – enables the members to instantly create professional and accurate door-to-door quotations by establishing an automated data transfer of carrier rates and tariffs. This year, The Cooperative has taken a step forward with the enhancements of this TMS by establishing agreements with some of the most prominent shipping solutions providers in the market.

Mr. Torres further adds, “Our team always strives for more and better services, in order to provide members with the most innovative advantages – firstly, through our efforts to improve our TMS – FreightViewer and secondly, with the wide array of logistics and marketing tools. This year, for example, we have created a new personalized online brochure for members and we have launched our blog.”

The Cooperative Logistics Network is presently represented by 305 independent freight forwarders from 130 countries spanning all five continents.

The Coop turns 5!

The Coop started accepting applications from members in September 2014 and commenced their global operations since December 2014

The Cooperative Logistics Network which started its journey from September 2014 has turned 5 years old. The Coop was formed with members from over 60 cities across more than 50 countries which together had a total of over 5000 employees with a sales turnover exceeding EUR 550 million for 2014. Since then, The Coop brand was endorsed worldwide as a practical and attractive new opportunity for freight forwarders who henceforth benefitted from the tailored service of a strong network of local independent agents, and an international reach.

“It was during our 1st Annual Meeting at Bangkok in May 2014 when members began to realize the enormous potentials of our network and the rewards of collaboration. Since then we have travelled a long way and presently we count on over 288 agents from numerous cities covering 124 countries with a total of more than 13,928 employees.” says Antonio Torres the President and Founder of Cooperative Logistics Network. Presently, The Coop is one of the premier non-exclusive networks of independent freight forwarders who are offered an international brand, a digital infrastructure, and an impressive global presence. Apart from 5 highly successful Annual Meetings, the steady rise in the number of our agents, and the introduction of an array of online tools and PR services for our members, one of our most significant achievements in the last 5 years consist in the introduction of our member-exclusive online tool FreightViewer, which has taken the digitization efforts of independent freight forwarder one step further.

JBH Worldwide selected as a founding member of a new logistics network: Press Release

JBH Worldwide, The COOP’s agent in New York recently sent out a Press Release about its acceptance as a founding member of The COOP

MANALAPAN N.J., December 3, 2014-JBH Worldwide earned an exclusive honor as a Founding Member for the new Cooperative Logistics Network. As of December 2014, JBH Worldwide was one of only three US freight forwarders in this exclusive shipping network and among the first one hundred members in the entire world.

“It is a great honor to be a founding member for a new logistics organization,” stated JBH Worldwide CEO Jay Horowitz. “Once again, JBH Worldwide is on the forefront of the shipping industry.”

In order to become a member, JBH Worldwide had to prove that they are reputable, solvent and competitive through a rigorous background check.

As an exclusive group, the Cooperative Logistics Network only features handpicked freight forwarders chosen through a ‘strict selection process.’ In addition, they cap the number of members available in all major air and seaports.

“The Cooperative Logistics Network features a directory with all of their internationally selected members. The benefits for joining the Cooperative Logistics Network include international branding and an annual meeting. Members can work together with agents on the network who can bid for the largest contracts and negotiate lower rates from carriers.”

Membership to the Cooperative Logistics Network makes JBH Worldwide a stronger freight forwarder.

About JBH Worldwide: Established in 2003, JBH Worldwide is a fully licensed Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker that specializes in heavy equipment export shipping to numerous ports all over the world. Located in Manalapan, NJ, they are experienced customs clearance professionals for your export shipping and import shipping needs, trucking, airfreight and heavy machinery shipping.

New logistics network reports applicants abound: Marinelink.com

The Cooperative Logistics Network launched with the promise to applicants of a six-month free trial in exchange for registering attendance at its first annual meeting next May. According to the network, hundreds of applications are being received weekly.

Founder, Antonio Torres, explained, “Attendance at the first annual meeting is the best way for agents to kick-start their membership. From our experience in the networking industry, we have found that attendance at annual meetings is crucial to ensuring any members’ success; it’s a proven fact that members who attend increase their business.”

Torres continued, “Agents work with people they have formed relationships with – this is true of any industry. I believe that the best freight forwarders understand the importance of meeting in person and so those applicants who say no to attending do not have a genuine interest in developing a worldwide network of agents and, therefore, are not for us.”

The Coop team has been studying and whittling down the number of applicants to a block of 100 founding members which will be unveiled when the network has its operational launch on December 1, 2014.
