You will also learn about calculating freight charges, equipment and documentation. Once you are enrolled you will have access to fully narrated lessons that contain case studies that will put the learner into real world scenarios, e-textbooks are provided and can be viewed on up to three devices.

Duration

Aproximately 65 – 75 hours of dedicated study time are required to complete this course.
The Coop members can complete it within 3 months.

Topics Covered:

The foundations of freight forwarding in the context of international trade
Select the appropriate Incoterm for a shipment
Calculate freight charges and load shipments
Types of equipment and documentation used to move goods

Successful candidates must pass one or two exams, depending on whether the virtual classroom or on-demand option is selected.

TraversEd Global Trade Certificate

The TraversEd Global Trade Certificate is awarded in three progressive tiers. Courses must be completed in the following order:

International Transportation and Trade (ITT)
Completion earns Tier 1.
Essentials of Freight Forwarding (EFF)
Completion of ITT + EFF earns Tier 2.
Advanced Freight Services (AFS)
Completion of all three courses earns Tier 3.

Prerequisites

Medium English Business level is a must, in order to understand all the topics of the course.
Some knowledge of the international transportation, trade, logistics and supply chain industries is beneficial but not required.
