In this course you will learn the foundations of freight forwarding in the context of international trade, how to manage risks by selecting the appropriate Incoterm® for a shipment, how to calculate freight charges and load shipments, and the types of equipment and documentation used to move goods by land, air and ocean modes of transport. You will also learn about calculating freight charges, equipment and documentation. Once you are enrolled you will have access to fully narrated lessons that contain case studies that will put the learner into real world scenarios, e-textbooks are provided and can be viewed on up to three devices.

  • Enrollment will be opened from 26th August to 23rd September 2024.
Starting date
  • The training period is from 1st October 2024 to 13th January 2025.
Duration
  • Aproximately 65 – 75 hours of dedicated study time are required to complete this course.
  • The Coop members can complete it within 3 months.
  • The deadline to complete it is 15th January 2025.

  • The foundations of freight forwarding in the context of international trade
  • Select the appropriate Incoterm for a shipment

CIFFA Certificate in International Freight Forwarding

Successful candidates must pass one or two exams, depending on whether the virtual classroom or on-demand option is selected.

Prerequisites

  • Medium English Business level is a must, in order to understand all the topics of the course.
  • Some knowledge of the international transportation, trade, logistics and supply chain industries is beneficial but not required.

  • Windows: Internet Explorer 6 and later, Firefox 1.x and later, Safari 3 and later, Goggle Chrome, Opera 9.5 and above.
  • Online lessons will NOT work on iPads or iPhones.
