The project involved the shipment of 50 tractors with accessories, transported via RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessel—a preferred method for moving heavy and wheeled machinery across long distances. “We are extremely proud to have handled this major export,” said Tamer Abu ElSaadat CEO, and Managing Director of Cargo Land International. “From meticulous planning to seamless execution, our team worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and timely delivery.”

Antwerp Shipping and Forwarding Company moves a shipment of 2475 pipes to Iceland for a power plant project

By utilizing Antwerp as a strategic transshipment hub, they successfully reduced transportation costs by 25%

Antwerp Shipping and Forwarding Company NV, a member of The Cooperative Logistics Network in Antwerp, Belgium, has successfully transported 2,475 pipes for a power plant project in Iceland. The strategic logistics planning resulted in a 25% reduction in overall transport costs by utilizing Antwerp as a transshipment hub.

The shipment consisted of pipes of varying diameters, each measuring 12 meters long. The total weight of the cargo reached 2,474 tons, with a total volume of 3,169 m³. Initially, the pipes were loaded as breakbulk cargo at the port of Caofeidian, China, on the COSCOL liner vessel, MV Chang Shun 2, which was booked for delivery to Antwerp.

“We chose Antwerp as a transshipment hub due to significant cost savings,” said Kenny De Wit. “Chartering a vessel directly from Caofeidian, China, to Iceland would have been prohibitively expensive. By utilizing a liner service to Antwerp and then chartering a vessel to Iceland, we managed to lower overall transport costs by 25%.”

Upon arrival in Antwerp, they temporarily stored the cargo at the Zuidnatie terminal, quay 118, where the pipes were sorted by diameter. Antwerp Shipping and Forwarding Company then chartered the MV NM Copenhagen for the next leg of the journey, ensuring smooth transport from Antwerp to Thorlakshofn, Iceland.

The company’s scope of work included receiving the pipes at the appointed terminal, overseeing the sorting process, conducting surveys during discharge and loading, handling customs clearance as bonded cargo, and ensuring the pipes were securely lashed and fastened before the final voyage.

Congratulations to Antwerp Shipping and Forwarding Company for pulling off this complex project and all the best for their upcoming endeavours!

Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a founding member of The Cooperative Logistics Network in Bremen, Frankfurt & Hamburg, Germany, has successfully secured a key logistics contract, working in partnership with fellow Coop member La-Mama d.o.o. in Koper / Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The collaboration involves the transportation of approximately 160 x 40 HC containers of solar panels from Koper, Slovenia, to Austria for the construction of a solar park.”We are excited to collaborate with our network partner La-Mama d.o.o. to ensure the seamless handling of this project,” said Johan Padding, Managing Director of Kopf & Lübben GmbH. “This marks a significant expansion in our customer’s import routes, as they have traditionally relied on Rotterdam and Hamburg. Now, Koper is emerging as a strategic entry point for their solar module imports.”

La-Mama d.o.o. is providing essential on-ground support, including unpacking, customs clearance, and reloading the shipments onto trucks for final delivery. Sea & Air Global Inc. Obtains NVOCC License and Launches New Website

These new achievements will allow the company to expand regulatory compliance, and enhance its online presence to better service clients

Sea & Air Global Inc., a member of The Cooperative Logistics Network in Los Angeles, USA, has recently secured its NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) license, reinforcing its position in the freight forwarding industry.

This milestone will allow the company to better serve its global clients while ensuring full compliance with FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) regulations. “The greatest advantage of our NVOCC license is that we can now issue house bills of lading (HBL) for our network members who handle shipments to the U.S. but do not hold the license themselves,” said Alex Santana, Director of Operations at Sea & Air Global Inc. “This ensures a seamless process while meeting all regulatory requirements, providing our partners with an added layer of security and efficiency.”

Additionally, the company has also launched a brand-new website in November, which is a significant step toward enhancing its digital presence. The redesigned platform aims to attract more traffic, increase customer engagement, and showcase the company’s expertise.

“Our main motivation behind the new website was to create a modern and intuitive experience for our clients and the visitors,” Alex Santana explained. “We have introduced a dedicated blog section where we share success stories, demonstrating how we’ve helped clients navigate logistics challenges efficiently.”

Congratulations to Sea & Air Global for their latest achievements and all the best for their upcoming projects!

Shine Logistics Successfully Delivers Circuits and Cosmetics Across Asia, Europe, and the USA

They ensured safe and cost-effective air and sea transportation of the shipment despite intense market competition

Circuits and Cosmetics Shipment by Shine Logistics

Shine Logistics, a Coop member in Seoul, South Korea, has successfully completed the transportation of circuits and cosmetics to multiple destinations across China, Europe, and the United States. The shipments, which originated from South Korea’s major air and seaports, highlight the company’s capability in handling air and sea freight in a competitive market.

One of the biggest challenges in completing this project was the intense competition in the freight forwarding market. “There are a lot of competitors in this industry,” said Mr. Chung from Shine Logistics. “To win this business, we continuously monitor freight rates and offer our clients the most cost-effective solutions every month.”They shipped the circuits exclusively by air from Incheon Airport to important Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Wuhan.

These items were carefully packed in compact boxes measuring 60 x 38 x 63 cm, requiring meticulous handling to ensure safe arrival. On the other hand, the cosmetics cargo was transported using both air and sea freight. From Incheon Airport, they coordinated air shipments to Heathrow, UK, Chicago, USA, and Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Additionally, shipments from Busan Seaport were sent via ocean freight to Southampton, UK, and Chicago, USA. The cosmetics were loaded onto pallets, typically sized at 100 x 120 x up to 150 cm, to ensure stability during transit.“We ensured that all packages were securely wrapped to prevent any box damage during transport,” Mr. Chung added. “By maintaining high packaging standards, we provided our clients with confidence in the safety of their goods.”

Congratulations to Shine Logistics for the successful execution of this shipment!
