They moved this sensitive shipment in a special container from China to Ukraine via ocean freight and land transportation
Alphatrans Ltd, a Coop member in Odessa, Ukraine, recently concluded the successful delivery of a humanitarian shipment consisting of mobile computed tomography scanner. The cargo originated from China and was initially shipped to the port of Constanta, Bulgaria, before being further transported by Alphatrans Ltd to Ukraine.
The container itself was a complex module with a built-in CT scanner, which is designed for quick transportation to places where there is no stationary tomography equipment. The Managing Director of Alphatrans, Dimitry Balaban says, “The container was not a standard one, we had to ship it on a break bulk vessel, while we used a special semi-trailer for land transportation to the consignee’s destination.”
“We sincerely thank our customers for their trust in the delivery of such valuable cargo to our country,” he adds. Since its inception, Alphatrans has consistently provided assistance in delivering goods to customers within the medical industry. They have been coordinating the transportation of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment, handling both commercial shipments and humanitarian aid.
Congratulations to Alphatrans Ltd for a job well executed!
They were in charge of several aspects of the cargo including port formalities, reloading and delivery to the consignee’s warehouse by truck
Alphatrans Ltd, a Coop member in Odessa, Ukraine, has recently carried out the movement of a spray dryer. The shipment which came from China was moved from the port in 1×40′ Open Top + 1×40′ Flat Rack and delivered to the warehouse in Ukraine by truck.
The cargo in FR weighed around 12 MT but moving it was challenging because of the odd shape of the shipment. In the words of Dmitriy Balaban, the Managing Director of Alphatrans, “Although the weight of the shipment was not too much, moving it posed a bit of challenge since we had no information about COG. After discussing with the shipper and the consignee, we arranged for the reloading from FR into low bed trailer and safely delivered the cargo to the final destination.”
Congratulations to Alphatrans Ltd for pulling off this project successfully and all the best for their future projects!
The shipment which mainly consisted of oil and gas equipment was moved from USA to Krasnograd, Ukraine
Alphatrans Ltd, a Coop member in Odessa, Ukraine, transports a blowout preventer equipment consisting of 3×40’FR, 3×20’DV, and 6×40’HC containers. As stated by Dmitriy Balaban, the Managing Director of Alphatrans, “It took a lot of hard work on the part of our team for the seamless delivery of this shipment. Delivery was arranged with road police escort since the maximum width of the cargo was 3.80 meter and the whole lot had been delivered to the consignee at the same time.”
Maximum dimensions of the packages on 40’FR were 10850 x 3840 x 3070 mm. Alphatrans was in charge of various jobs in Ukraine such as arrangements of permits, port formalities, and inland delivery. Mr. Balaban further added, “I’d once again like to compliment the Alphatrans team who worked relentlessly and came up with innovative ideas to carry out this project impeccably!”
Congratulations to Alphatrans and wishing them the very best for all their future projects!
The animals were rescued from a privately owned zoo in Ukraine where they were living in totally unclean conditions
Alphatrans Ltd, a Cooperative member in Odessa, Ukraine, moved three rescued lionesses from a private zoo in Ukraine to their natural habitat in the Kragga Kamma Game Park in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The three lionesses called Luca, Charles and Kai, were living in squalid conditions in a 35 square meter steel cage without any sunlight or fresh air. The 2 months old lion cub called Nathan was rescued from a cruel circus trainer in Ukraine who meant to sell it off to a private zoo or circus.
“All the animals were rescued by Lionel de Lange of The Lawrence Anthony Earth Organisation (LAEO) branch in Ukraine who built a temporary shelter of 280 square meters for the animals before preparing to move them to their permanent home in the forests of South Africa,” says Mr. Dimitriy Balaban, the Managing Director of Alphatrans.
All the lions were vaccinated, documented and chipped before being granted the CITES export certificate so that they could be moved to South Africa. Alphatrans arranged for shipment by air within the shortest possible transit time and under constant surveillance of veterinarians. Mr. Balaban added, “This had been a very special shipment for us and our team has once again proved that we can move anything and everything no matter if it is a project cargo or a shipment consisting of lions! We are really delighted that we could bring the lions safely back to their home in South Africa,”
Congratulations to Alphatrans for moving this extraordinary cargo!
