The acquisition of Phoenix Bathurst – a reputed logistics company – has further boosted their capacity to offer end-to-end logistical services for their clients and partners

Synergie Canada INC, a Coop member in Montreal, Canada, has substantially expanded its operations. Since the beginning of 2022, they have welcomed 25 new employees to their team. Additionally, their involvement with Lionel-Groulx College is helping them find the best candidates for internships and student jobs.

With IATA /DGR certifications, they have specialized in sectors such as breakbulk, dangerous goods, time-critical shipments, trade shows, and government logistics.

This year, they introduced their bilingual webinars where they have been elaborating on the challenges of the logistics industry. In addition, they are presently developing their Trade Lane division. To this end, they are assessing the needs and developing the areas that will allow growth in all their main traded commodities.

15 containers of brown sugar moved by Consolidacion Integrada from Guatemala to Korea

They transported the cargo from Quetzal to Incheon Port by using dry containers

Consolidacion Integrada, a Coop member in Guatemala City, has recently moved 15 containers of sugar from Quetzal to Incheon Port via ocean freight. Guatemala is the world’s 5th largest sugar exporter. Since 2017, Guatemala has exported over 14 million metric tons of sugar becoming the 2nd largest sugar exporter in Latin America.

The brown sugar was packed in bags before being loaded onto dry containers. In the words of Mr. Javier Giraldo, Manager of Consolidacion Integrada, “This shipment was challenging since it necessitated a lot of coordination and communication with the ocean carrier. However, our extensive experience in container shipping ensured the seamless execution of this project”.

Their new Managing Director Mr. Johann Padding will succeed Michael Guttrof, who left the company at the end of March 2022

Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a Coop member in Hamburg, Bremen, and Frankfurt, has taken on a new Managing Director. Mr. Johann Padding will assume the post of Managing Director from September 2022 along with Thomas Manigk. Until his start on September 1, 2022, Thomas Manigk will be the sole Managing Director at Kopf & Lübben GmbH.

Mr. Padding will succeed Mr. Michael Guttrof, who left Kopf & Lübben GmbH, after serving the company for 13 years.

Mr. Padding has worked in this industry since completing his logistics studies in the Netherlands and he brings a wealth of experience with him. After moving to Germany, Johan Padding initially worked for some well-known shipping lines before joining an owner-operated freight forwarding company in 2001. After its takeover by Kerry Logistics in 2012, Johan Padding became the branch manager for Bremen and Hamburg from 2015.

As stated by Mr. Manigk, the Managing Director of Kopf & Lübben GmbH, “We are very pleased to have gained such an experienced and well-respected person for Kopf & Lübben. In his role as Managing Director, Mr. Padding will provide operational and strategic leadership and drive the development of the company’s ocean freight, air freight, road, and rail transportation. The event called “Activate your Attitude 2022” took place in an auditorium of the Lima chamber of Commerce and was attended by their entire team. They organized this special event to commemorate their 14th Anniversary.

Macsons Shipping brings in a vessel with highest parcel size ever to be handled in the history of Tuticorin Port

They helped move 93,719 tonnes of limestone for a cement factory via the Singapore flagged vessel MV Ince Incara

Macsons Shipping, a Coop member in Tuticorin, created a new record at VOC Port Trust, Tuticorin, India, for bringing in a vessel with the highest parcel size ever to be handled in history of the port. The Singapore flagged vessel ‘M V Ince Ankara‘ arrived from the Port of Mina Saqr, UAE, with 93,719 tonnes of limestone. They handled cargo consigned for M/s Chettinad Cements, between 26th to 28th of August’ 2021. In this process, they broke all the previous records held by the port in terms of the size of the parcel handled.

Three Harbour Mobile Cranes capable of discharging more than 50,000 tonnes per day unloaded the cargo at the port. As stated by the Chairman, of VO Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin, “This has been a great collaborative effort and I take this opportunity to recognize the hard work and commitment of the ship agents Macsons Shipping Agencies Private Ltd, stevedores, Harbour Mobile Crane operators, officers and the staff of the port.”

They first made it to the news back in 2010 when they facilitated the transportation of a large shipment of vehicles comprising jeeps, cars, and motorbikes. This shipment was a gift from the then Government of India to the then Government of Maldives. From that moment on, they have been crossing milestones after milestones.
