Trailblazing oversized shipment of 155 tonnes for the Nurek Hydro Power Project in Tajikistan moved by Globalink

They successfully moved a project cargo where they used specialized equipment and also took charge of import customs clearance, discharge, and cargo installation processes

Globalink Logistics handled a project cargo weighing 155 tonnes with a height of 5 meters from China all the way to Tajikistan through Turkey’s Haydarpasha Port. They moved the cargo for the Nurek Hydro Power Project in Tajikistan- a project with which they have been involved for over 10 years. They are a Coop member in the following cities: Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, Yerevan, Armenia, Tbilisi and Poti in Georgia, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, Baku in Azerbaijan, Aktau, Almaty, Atyrau, and Astana in Kazakhstan, St Petersburg in Russia, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, and Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

Upon reaching its destination, Globalink’s team in Tajikistan skillfully managed the import customs clearance, discharging, and cargo installation on foundation processes. Their team has been working with the Nurek Hydro Power Project for over ten years, expertly moving large volume of shipments from all over the world to Tajikistan. Moreover, the latest project was a challenging one where they had to navigate through the Black Sea and the Kerch Strait at precise timing to align with the Volga-Don river navigation season’s end.

Headway JSC moves a shipment of 408 cars from Thailand to Vietnam

They transported the Mazda cars on Mercury Leader V.53 vessel from Laem Chabang port, Thailand, to Hiep Phuoc port, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Headway JSC, a Coop member in Hanoi, Haiphong, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, has recently moved a cargo of 408 Mazda cars via ocean freight. The shipment posed a few challenges since the shipping company didn’t have enough space to accommodate the deadline of the customer. However, the long-term strategic cooperation between Headway and the shipping line paid off and they managed to arrange an ad-hoc vessel for transporting the 408 cars to Vietnam.

In addition, Headway was responsible for inspecting the cars while receiving the cargo from the shipper. They also had to inspect the cars before loading them on the ship.

15 containers of brown sugar moved by Consolidacion Integrada from Guatemala to Korea

They transported the cargo from Quetzal to Incheon Port by using dry containers

Consolidacion Integrada, a Coop member in Guatemala City, has recently moved 15 containers of sugar from Quetzal to Incheon Port via ocean freight. Guatemala is the world’s 5th largest sugar exporter. Since 2017, Guatemala has exported over 14 million metric tons of sugar becoming the 2nd largest sugar exporter in Latin America.

The brown sugar was packed in bags before being loaded onto dry containers. In the words of Mr. Javier Giraldo, Manager of Consolidacion Integrada, “This shipment was challenging since it necessitated a lot of coordination and communication with the ocean carrier. Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a Coop member in Hamburg, Bremen, and Frankfurt, has taken on a new Managing Director. Mr. Johann Padding will assume the post of Managing Director from September 2022 along with Thomas Manigk. Until his start on September 1, 2022, Thomas Manigk will be the sole Managing Director at Kopf & Lübben GmbH.

Mr. Padding will succeed Mr. Michael Guttrof, who left Kopf & Lübben GmbH, after serving the company for 13 years.

Mr. Padding has worked in this industry since completing his logistics studies in the Netherlands and he brings a wealth of experience with him. After moving to Germany, Johan Padding initially worked for some well-known shipping lines before joining an owner-operated freight forwarding company in 2001. After its takeover by Kerry Logistics in 2012, Johan Padding became the branch manager for Bremen and Hamburg from 2015.

The event called “Activate your Attitude 2022” took place in an auditorium of the Lima chamber of Commerce and was attended by their entire team. They organized this special event to commemorate their 14th Anniversary.
