The Coop creates a new mobile application for its members

The Cooperative Logistics Network’s web app will allow members to touch base with their partners and the network 24×7 via their mobile devices

The Coop has developed a member-exclusive mobile application that agents can save to their Apple and Android devices via Google Play or App Store. Members will now find all the important network information as well as their partner’s contact at their fingertips. The app can be used to find any agent within the network and interact with them instantly via Skype, email, or WhatsApp.

Digitalization and the introduction of technology-oriented operations have become all the more important in the post-pandemic era and are indispensable for the smooth transformation of this sector. Industry 4.0 is in need of more effective tools and processes that save time, boost productivity, and increase the outreach of the companies. The creation of The Coop’s mobile app is one more significant step of the network in this path.

The year 2022 has been a highly productive one for The Coop

In the last 12 months, the Coop has made many significant achievements that are contributing to the growth of the network and its members

The year 2022, has turned out to be a very constructive one for The Cooperative Logistics Network. The Coop’s team has accomplished several of its objectives, thus helping the members to make their presence felt in the freight forwarding industry.

In March 2022, The Cooperative Logistics Network fulfilled its long-time ambition of creating a unique learning opportunity for the network members. The Coop partnered with esteemed organizations like CIFFA (Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association) and Container xChange to offer online logistics certificate courses that will allow the agents to augment their skills and industry knowledge.

The Coop has bolstered its social media endeavours by opening a new Instagram handle. In addition to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, we are now making our presence felt on Instagram. The Coop team firmly believes that an active presence across several social media platforms helps expand our network’s outreach.

Additionally, The Cooperative Logistics Network has welcome many new agents to further increase its coverage. Presently the Coop has members in over 327 cities in 135 countries around the world and this number will keep growing in the coming year.

Lastly, The Coop team is working relentlessly to organize an in-person Annual Meeting in Phuket, Thailand, in March 2023, after a two years gap due to the pandemic. Finally, The Coop agents will get to come together under one roof for networking and socializing activities. To this end, the network has created a special Annual Meeting web portal from where the agents can easily access all information relating to the Annual Meeting from one page. It brings together all the pertinent information about the event at the members’ fingertips and simplifies the registration, room reservation, and meeting slot booking processes.

As stated by Antonio Torres, The President and Founder of The Cooperative Logistics Network, “With the economic downturn caused by the pandemic, it is imperative for the independent freight forwarders to stick together, work on concerted projects, and offer first-rate services to expand their outreach. This is exactly what we are helping our members to achieve and all our endeavours are aimed at accomplishing this objective.”

COOP agent in Bremen, Hamburg and Frankfurt names FreightViewer as the game-changer tool for members

After testing our Transport Management Software, Mika, from Kopf & Luebben GMBH, states that FreighViewer is a great opportunity to take the next step towards digitization.

Mika Seebeck, in charge of the airfreight and EDI in Kopf & Luebben GMBH, is now working with FreightViewer and comments that software will be the next important step for K&L to optimize the daily business process

Mr. Mika states: “FreightViewer will become a really useful and important tool for K+L. Our customers no longer need to wait for our quotations, they just enter the shipment details and immediately obtain the cost for their shipment. Additionally, it will save a lot of time for us, since we do not need to calculate and offer rates manually to our agents and customers. And as you know, time is money“.

Our agent also comments that: “All Members can use it for free and save much time with this tool. The software can use the rates from other COOP members as well and if a customer of K+L needs the delivery charges in another country the system will check if a COOP member has uploaded valid import rates and uses these rates for the quotation […]It can help all COOP Members in their daily business process and it is a feature which nearly all our competitors are unable to provide”

Successful start of new freight forwarder network: ITJ

The Cooperative Logistics Network launched one month ago (see ITJ Daily of 16 September), promising applicants a 6-month, free trial in exchange for registering attendance at its 1st annual meeting next May. This promise has proved extremely popular, with hundreds of applications being received weekly.

The Coop team has been studying and whittling down the number of applicants to a block of 100 founding members which will be unveiled when the network has its operational launch on 1 December 2014.

New logistics network reports applicants abound: Maritime Global News

The Cooperative Logistics Network launched with the promise to applicants of a six-month free trial in exchange for registering attendance at its first annual meeting next May. According to the network, hundreds of applications are being received weekly

Founder, Antonio Torres, explained, “Attendance at the first annual meeting is the best way for agents to kick-start their membership. From our experience in the networking industry, we have found that attendance at annual meetings is crucial to ensuring any members’ success; it’s a proven fact that members who attend increase their business.”Torres continued, “Agents work with people they have formed relationships with – this is true of any industry. I believe that the best freight forwarders understand the importance of meeting in person and so those applicants who say no to attending do not have a genuine interest in developing a worldwide network of agents and, therefore, are not for us.”

The Coop team has been studying and whittling down the number of applicants to a block of 100 founding members which will be unveiled when the network has its operational launch on December 1, 2014.

“The standard of applications has been extremely high. To date we have accepted enough companies to fill over 50% of our original target of 100 founding members. We firmly believe we will meet and increase this target well in advance of December 1st,” Torres said.

Cooperative Network proves attractive to freight forwarders: marinelink.com

Just one week on from its launch, the team have already processed hundreds of applications and started building its block of founding members, as well as receiving hundreds of website hits and requests for information
“This is as good a start as any network founder could hope for,” said Managing Director Antonio Torres, himself a veteran network owner (CONQUEROR Freight Network), who exactly four years on has launched The Cooperative Logistics Network, a capped nonexclusive network with freight forwarders in each major air/seaport who cooperate in a financially secure environment to reduce costs and risks and grow their businesses together to compete against the multinationals.“The popularity of the network is reassuring us that our first goal of recruiting 100 agents for our December operational launch is achievable as well as our target of 75 main cities covered by our first annual meeting in May 2015,” Torres said.

A six-month trial is being given to those agents who, once accepted into the network, commit to attending the networks’ first annual meeting. “You could say this is a bit of a risk but I firmly believe that those applicants who say no to attending do not have a genuine interest in developing a worldwide network of agents,” Torres explained. “These are not the kind of members we want.”

The Cooperative Logistics Network will allow a maximum of three agents per city with the exception of the largest cities allowing 5. “The network will provide the intimacy needed for business relationships to grow whilst maintaining the autonomy many forwarders want when choosing business partners,” said Membership Development Coordinator, Eduardo Paternina.
